Yunhi Episode-8 Review: Kim wants to marry Dawood but as an experiment

Yunhi the drama serial airing on Hum TV is 8 episodes down. The old-school vibes make the play interesting but the narrative is quite dated so is its protagonist a badly written character I must say! In the previous episodes, we have seen that chemistry starts developing between Kim and Dawood. In this episode, Kim tells his father that she has made up her mind to marry in Pakistan as an experiment she wants to marry Dawood.

Firdous along with Husna is talking with Kim when she comes to know that Dawood is engaged to his cousin on which she is telling everyone that Dawood likes someone else but before she could spill more beans Dawood intervenes and lies that Dada jee is calling her. Dawood and Kim’s chemistry is quite crackling, especially in the scene where Kim is smoking and calling everyone hypocrites who conceal their true feelings, their love and even they can’t smoke freely. Dawood hears all that Kim said about him that was quite a powerful scene.

It is shown that the guy George has cheated on Kim. Kim has said that during her confession she was supposedly doing with Daniyal but he sneaks out when he sees his elder brother coming and it is Dawood who hears what exactly Kim thinks about him and also that George has cheated on her. What Kim has said is all the right stuff. Dawood has not uttered a single word in his defence.

Well, Firdous’s husband’s greed for American nationality is quite evident when he suggests his wife send a proposal to Kim for his son Hamid otherwise Basharat and Razia are going to fix Daniyal and Kim’s wedding. Firdous half-heartily agrees and calls her Abba Jee. Razia fumes that when she hears about Hamid and Kim’s proposal, she wants Hamid’s suit for her own daughter Suraiya. In order to punish them for ignoring her daughter she also asks for Kim’s hand for Daniyal.

Well, it is so good to see Deepak Parwani back on screen in this episode. Dada jee suggests both proposals Naveed knows that Kim is not going to marry either of them but still he tells his daughter. Kim shares with his father that she is not marrying George which has made him happy but he along with us all shocked to hear that Kim wants to marry in Pakistan! Yes out of nowhere Kim rejects both proposals and says that she wants to marry in Pakistan but just as an experiment and she names Dawood saying that she wants to marry David! Why? Why Kim’s father knowing her intentions, still wants to help her out by marrying Dawood? Kim is literally making no sense!
