Whenever the first episode of a drama goes on air, it usually starts off with an introduction of the characters. We get familiar with their personalities, their interests and the story slowly reveals the crux of their issues.

However, with Ramz e Ishq, 7th Sky Entertainment has decided to go on the unconventional path. The first episode of Ramz e Ishq, which was aired on Monday night, turned out to be completely different and began directly with the one essential incident that connects all the characters of the drama and their storylines. In this respect, Ramz e Ishq felt like a breath of fresh air and got us all hooked after just one episode.

The story revolves around three young protagonists: Rayaan, Roshni and Rania played by Mikaal Zulfiqar, Hiba Bukhari, and Kiran Haq respectively. Although it is a love triangle, their lives are intertwined with their parents’ past and it might become the foundation for their future lives.

Meanwhile, the elders of this household are fighting their own battles and it all goes back to that one fateful night in their past.

The night many years ago when Wajahat went against his family and married his beloved against his father’s will – this one action eventually led to his sister’s divorce who has yet to forgive her brother. This particular incident became the bane of Hashmat Ali’s family’s existence.

Although Misbah Nosheen’s beautiful writing makes it easier for the actors to do justice to their characters, it is important to mention the names of some of the legendary actors who are part of Ramz e Ishq. Names like Abid Ali, Aijaz Aslam, Zainab Qayyum, and Nida Mumtaz can make any drama exceptional.

After the first episode, we have high expectations from Ramz e Ishq and cannot wait for the rest of the story to unfold.
