Season Three Unlikely For HBO’s Big Little Lies

It seems like its the end of the road for the audience’s favorite tale of murder and mischief, Big Little Lies. Although fans have enjoyed each episode of the show, the critics have termed the second season not as successful as the first and therefore a season three looks highly unlikely.

However, that’s not the only reason, this is being contemplated.

In an interview with TVLine, the president of HBO, Casey Bloys, mentioned that it was very difficult to get the talent of the show together at the same time since all of them (high profile actors) had crazy schedules and therefore a season three was unrealistic.

“I love this group of people – I would do anything with them. The reality is, they are some of the busiest actresses working in Hollywood. I just think it’s not realistic,” said Bloys.

With Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman, in particular, being very busy, the second season being possible was rather lucky.

Season one ended with Bonnie (Zoe Kravitz) pushing Celeste’s (Nicole Kidman) abusive husband and Jane’s (Shailene Woodley) rapist to his death. Season two brought about an epic showdown between Perry’s his widow and his mother, Mary-Louise (Meryl Streep), followed by the Monterey Five turning themselves into police.

The interview and the ending of the second season hasn’t really gone down well with the audience, who already could not get enough of their favorite show and are now demanding a season three.
