2022 Oscar Nominations: Check out the full list
The 94th annual Academy Awards will be held on March 27 at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.
And for this year the nominations are out.
The Nominees have been unveiled in all 23 categories.
‘The Power of the Dog’ leads nominees for the 94th annual Academy Awards with 12 nominations.
The sci-fi epic “Dune” takes the second spot with 10 nominations for the 2022 Oscars.
While Steven Spielberg’s ravishing take on a beloved musical “West Side Story,”, and Kenneth Branagh’s semi-autobiographical, coming-of-age story “Belfast,” both have received seven nominations.
This year’s Oscars nominations also hold several history-making moments as well.
Jane Campion became the first woman to earn two best director nods with her nomination for “The Power of the Dog.” She was also nominated in the best-adapted screenplay category.
On the other hand, Kenneth Branagh with “Belfast,” became the first person to earn seven Oscar nominations in seven different categories.
He was nominated for directing, producing, and writing the original screenplay for the film. Branagh has previously earned Oscar nominations for best actor and best director for “Henry V,” best live-action short film for “Swan Song,” best supporting actor for “My Week With Marilyn” and best-adapted screenplay for “Hamlet.”
For the first time in three years, the Oscars will have a host for the in-person awards ceremony that will be televised on ABC.
