Andhera Ujala Reloaded, classic PTV drama gets a sequel!

PTV’s classic drama from 80’s Andhera Ujala is getting a sequel. The famed series was based on police stories, with a new case to solve in each episode. The classic series is still remembered for its brilliant cast who made it one of the most watched PTV series ever.  Let’s hope the same from this sequel series.

The new cast for the drama will include Danish Taimoor, Ayaaz Sami and Sarah Alie to name a few. The cast of the original series included Late Jamil Fakhri, Qavi Khan, and Irfan Khoosat. Good thing we hear that is Irfan Khoosat will be reprising his role in this Andhera Ujala sequel.

Shoot for the sequel series has already kicked off, being directed by Aamir Yousuf. Further updates regarding the series are being awaited, just like the old show, this will also tackle a new case in every episode.

Ayaz Samoo will be seen as ASI Dildar Khan, Danish Taimoor plays SSP Jasim, SHO is Nadir is being played by Rashid Farooqi.





The premiere date for the drama is not announced yet, but it will go on-air on PTV, including one other channel which is not disclosed yet.
