Cake the film, starring Aaminah Sheikh, Sanam Saeed and Adnan Malik in the lead, became the first Pakistani film to have its premiere at the prestigious West End in London. And that’s not it, it seems after the premiere, all those in attendance, that included names like Mahira Khan, Fifi Haroon and others, are all praises for the folm.
As the film cast and crew made it to the red carpet it was like a festival with many A-list celebrities making it to the premiere. And the best part was everybody coming out with nothing but praises for the film. Even the British media quoted the movie’s success.

And that’s not it. Mahira Khan, the icon, who happened to be in London for the UK Asian Film Festival, also graced the premiere with her presence and it seems, she too was taken aback by the film’s direction, acting, storyline in short everything.
Take a bow, take that delicious piece of cake you guys have made and run with it!! Woof!! 🕺🏻🕺🏻🎉🎉 the acting, direction, cinematography, the production design, the styling, theeee film!!! @sanammodysaeed @aaminasheikh @adnanmalik #CaketheFilm

Cake is all set to release world wide on the 30th of March. Judging from the praises the film is already garnering, it seems we’ll have a treat to watch onscreen, something that’ll definitely lift up the slow cinema scenario, we’re having since the beginning of the year.
