Cake the film makes digital premiere on Netflix

After much wait, Pakistani critically acclaimed film, Cake, starring Aamina Sheikh, Sanam Saeed and Adnan Malik in pivotal roles, has finally made its debut on the online streaming giant Netflix. Joining a list of Pakistani films, Cake, as of 15th May 2019, is available for viewing on Netflix.

Directed by Asim Abbasi, Cake is a family drama revolving around a dysfunctional family. The film revolves around the story of Zara and Zareen played by Sanam Saeed and Aamina Sheikh respectively and how the two fight their own ghosts while Zareen is forced to take care of her ailing father and mother and look after the family’s lands.

Cake is one of Pakistan’s first film to have had its premiere at the prestigious London’s West End. The film received a lot of critical acclaim and was appreciated by critics and audience alike around the world.

Also available on Netflix alongside Cake, is the Mahira Khan, Sheheryar Munawar starrer 7 Din Mohabbat In adding to a long list Pakistani films and dramas already available on the streaming giant.
