Dwayne Johnson ‘The Rock’ Is Not Afraid To Open Up About His Battle With Depression!

Dwayne Johnson ‘The Rock’ is not afraid to open up about his battle with depression. ”Depression never discriminates”, the actor has recently tweeted. He opened up sharing about his mother who attempted suicide when he was only 15 years old. The actor, now 45, while talking to a British daily said, ”I reached a point where I didn’t want to do a thing or go anywhere. I was crying constantly”.
His mother, Ata, attempted suicide right in front of him. He said that to this day, his mother does not remember trying to kill herself, revealed the Rock.
”She got out of the car on Interstate 65 in Nashville and walked into oncoming traffic, I grabbed her and pulled her back on the gravel shoulder of the road. We both healed but we’ve always got to do our best to pay attention when other people are in pain, we have to help them through it and remind them they are not alone”, Rock tells while talking to the British daily.
The actor tweeted on Sunday,
Got tons of responses to this. Thank you. We all go thru the sludge/shit and depression never discriminates. Took me a long time to realize it but the key is to not be afraid to open up. Especially us dudes have a tendency to keep it in. You’re not alone

@TheRock Thank you for talking about depression openly, I know it will help a lot of people to see someone so confident that also had issues with it
