Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor’s ‘Abir Gulaal’ Wraps Up Filming in London
This project marks Fawad Khan's return to Bollywood after an eight-year hiatus
Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor’s upcoming romantic comedy, Abir Gulaal, has successfully wrapped up its filming schedule in London.
As reported, the final day of shooting took place on November 11, 2024, marking the conclusion of a busy production phase that began in late September.
Directed by Aarti S. Bagdi, Abir Gulaal is described as a cross-border romantic comedy focusing on two emotionally scarred individuals who meet by chance and help each other heal, ultimately leading to an unexpected romance.
The film is produced by a collaboration of Indian Stories, A Richer Lens, and Aarjay Pictures, with notable producers including Vivek B. Agrawal, Avantika Hari, and Rakesh Sippy.
The film’s production has taken advantage of London’s scenic locales, and it is anticipated to be released following various film festivals. The soundtrack will feature six original tracks composed by a leading Bollywood music composer, and performed by top music talent in the industry.
This project marks Fawad Khan’s return to Bollywood after an eight-year hiatus since his last major film role in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016) and is expected to resonate well with his global fanbase.
Vaani Kapoor has also been active in the industry with upcoming projects including Mandala Murders and Badtameez Gill.
