First London Pakistani Film Festival will be held in October
Submissions for films and dramas are now open through LPFF’s website and FilmFreeway.

The inaugural London Pakistani Film Festival (LPFF), is set to take place this October, marking a significant milestone in the global recognition of Pakistani cinema. This festival aims to showcase the diverse and vibrant narratives emerging from Pakistan’s film industry, offering a platform for both established and emerging filmmakers to present their work to an international audience.
The event will feature a range of films, including feature films, documentaries, and short films, highlighting the rich cultural tapestry and storytelling tradition of Pakistan. The festival’s organizers are committed to celebrating the country’s cinematic achievements and providing a bridge between Pakistani filmmakers and global audiences.
With London being a hub for cultural exchange, the festival is expected to attract a wide array of attendees, including film enthusiasts, critics, and industry professionals. This event not only celebrates the art of filmmaking but also aims to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of Pakistani culture and stories on a global scale.
The festival spans four days, taking place at various venues: HMS Wellington Ship on October 1, Rich Mix Cinema and Queen Mary University on October 2, Rich Mix Cinema and Garden Cinema on October 3, and concluding at Barbican Cinema on October 4.
The official feature film lineup includes Humayun Saeed and Mehwish Hayat’s London Nahi Jaunga, Sarmad Sultan Khoosat’s extended director’s cut of Zindagi Tamasha, Yumna Zaidi’s Nayab, the romance-drama anthology Teri Meri Kahaniyaan starring Sheheryar Munawar, Hayat, Wahaj Ali, Ramsha Khan, Zahid Ahmed, and the blockbuster The Legend of Maula Jatt featuring Fawad Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, and Mahira Khan.
In the official drama category, selections include the upcoming Zindagi Originals Farrar, directed by Mehreen Jabbar and starring Sarwat Gilani, Mariam Saleem, and Maha Hasan, as well as The Pink Shirt, directed by Kashif Nisar and featuring Sajal Aly, Wahaj Ali, and Sania Saeed.
