First Look: Nicolas Cage Suits Up as 1930s Spider-Man Noir in Gritty Prime Video Series
This marks the first live-action Spider-Man series since the 1979 Japanese Spider-Man show

Nicolas Cage stars as the lead in Spider-Noir, a new live-action Marvel series set in 1930s New York, premiering in 2026 on MGM+ and Prime Video.
The show follows Cage’s character, an ageing and down-on-his-luck private investigator who must confront his past life as the city’s only superhero, Spider-Man Noir.
The series draws inspiration from the Spider-Man Noir comic series rather than the animated Spider-Verse films, although Cage previously voiced this character in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The visual style of the series will be available in both black-and-white and colour formats, emphasising its noir aesthetic.
In the first official image released, Cage is seen in the iconic Spider-Man Noir costume, featuring a trench coat, fedora, white goggles, and the webbed mask, blending classic noir detective style with the superhero suit.
The cast also includes Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, and Jack Huston, with guest appearances by Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Amanda Schull, and others.
The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, with Harry Bradbeer directing and executive producing the first two episodes. Co-showrunners Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot developed the series alongside Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, who were involved in the Spider-Verse films.
This marks the first live-action Spider-Man series since the 1979 Japanese Spider-Man show, offering a fresh noir take on the Spider-Man universe
