Game of Thrones season 8 first official teaser

Its few months left for the final season of much anticipated drama series Game of Thrones to hit the TV screens. After announcing the month in which series will premiere, HBO releases first official teaser trailer.

A very brief, under 40 second teaser, gives a feel of what to expect, the clash of ice and fire in the final season of the show. Hinting the ice from the White Walkers and fire from the Targaryen’s dragons.

And surely it hints at the intensity of the final season. The last season left the audience eagerly waiting to see what happens since White Walkers were crossing the great wall. It’s being speculated for a while that season finale is going to be the end game.

The short clip was tweeted out with the caption “Fire and ice”, and hinting that the final season of the wildly popular HBO series will be all about a catastrophic showdown between the forces of fire (Daenerys, her dragons, and the fiery blood of the Targaryens) and ice (those pesky White Walkers).

As the teaser opens, we see the Stone Table, that great map of Westeros located in the castle at Dragonstone, starts freezing from the north.

The first image we get to see is the wolf, representing the forces of Winterfell frozen to solid, and then a Targaryen dragon. Then the perspective shifts and we see flames surrounding the south. Most notably, the lion of Lannister is burned up, in an image that evokes the fiery “Loot Train Battle” last season. Eventually the ice and fire erupt in the middle of the table.

So who will win? Fire or ice? All the GOT fans have to wait until final season eight of the series hits HBO in April 2019.
