Henry Cavill Starrer The Witcher Season 2 to Hit Floors in August

Netflix’s popular mystery series The Witcher is among the first ones to hit the floors as the streaming giant resumes shooting spells after the pandemic delay.

Taking it to Twitter, The Witcher’s official account confirmed the news.

“I’m dusting off my lute and quill, I have some news, some mead to spill: After all the months we’ve been apart
It’s time for production to restart. The Witcher and his bard – who’s flawless, Will reunite on set 17 August,” tweeted the show’s Twitter handle.

Premiered in December 2019, The Witcher was confirmed for a season 2, shoot of which began in February 2020, in the UK. However, owing to the pandemic and after a cast member tested positive for COVID-19, the show was the first major production in the U.K. to be halted as a result of the pandemic.

As per reports, the Henry Cavill starrer will now commence shooting to get its planned 2021 release. Alongside Cavill, the show features Anya Chalotra and Freya Allen as leads.
