Prominent Pakistani designer Hassan Sheheryar Yasin (HSY) has made his Hollywood debut with the Disney+ series Deli Boys.

Not only did he design costumes for episodes 8 and 9 of the show, but he also appeared on-screen, marking a significant milestone as the first Pakistani designer to do so in a Hollywood production.

The series premiered on March 6, 2025, on Hulu in the United States and Disney+ internationally.

Deli Boys is a comedy series that follows two pampered Pakistani-American brothers, Mir and Raj, played by Asif Ali and Saagar Shaikh, respectively. The story unfolds after their convenience store magnate father’s sudden death, revealing his secret life of crime and forcing the brothers to navigate his underworld empire.

HSY’s involvement in Deli Boys brings a unique South Asian flair to the show’s visual storytelling. He styled lead actors Poorna Jagannathan, Saagar Shaikh, and Zainne Saleh for the episodes he worked on.

This collaboration is not just about fashion; it’s also about representation, as HSY aims to bring authentic South Asian designs to a global audience.

The series has been praised for its blend of humour and gritty themes, offering a fresh and culturally resonant narrative
