Jamie Foxx to play Mike Tyson in a new biographical limited series

Jamie Foxx is all set to play Mike Tyson in a new biographical limited series.

As being reported, the series will cover the span of the whole of former heavyweight championTyson’s life.

However, the series is currently not set up at any network or streaming service.

What more is reported about the limited edition series is that Antoine Fuqua is on board to direct and executive produce via Fuqua Films, while Martin Scorsese is to executive produce it via Sikelia Productions.

While Colin Preston wrote the pilot for “Tyson” and is currently writing the full series.

Gearing up for the title role, Foxx is said to have been discussing his involvement in a Tyson project for some time.

As being reported, starting last year, Jamie Foxx was deep into training for the role, though at the time it was being taken as a biopic rather than a series.

 Tyson and his wife, Kiki Tyson, will also executive produce this series along with Sophie Watts and John Ryan Jr. on behalf of Tyson’s Legends Only League.

Furthermore, Rick Yorn of LBI Entertainment will also executive produce. Azim Spicer of Legends Only League will serve as associated producer.

“I have been looking to tell my story for quite some time,” Tyson said about the series.

“With the recent launch of Legends Only League and the excitement from fans following my return to the ring, now feels like the perfect moment. I look forward to collaborating with Martin, Antoine, Jamie, and the entire creative team to bring audiences a series that not only captures my professional and personal journey but also inspires and entertains.”

It was last year in November when the boxing great, Mike Tyson returned to the ring after fifteen years of retiring.

However, The ‘Frontline Battle’, an 8-round exhibition fight between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. ended in a draw.
