PM Shehbaz Sharif has formed a special committee to evaluate complaints filed against film Joyland.
As reported, the committee will report its findings and recommended follow-up action on November 15.
The committee will assess the complaints as well as merits to decide on its release in Pakistan.
The development comes as the film’s license was revoked days ahead of its release in Pakistan.
The head of PM’s Strategic Reforms, Salman Sufi announced via Twitter, that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of the ban on the film Joyland.
Salman Sufi informed that the premier “constituted a high-level committee to assess” the “complaints as well as merits to decide on its release in Pakistan.”
He also thanked Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb for her efforts.
Joyland, directed by Saim Sadiq, was originally set to release on November 18th, 2022.
