Pakistani superstar Aijaz Aslam will be soon sharing screen space with Angeline Malik in a very different upcoming film Kalasha. This much anticipated film has been in news from quite a while. While talking to OY, Aijaz Aslam shared some exclusive bits about the upcoming film which probably will hit the theaters in March 2019.
He has recently dubbed a presentation of a film and soon the proper dubbing will be starting. The film is based upon the story of a family who lives in Kailash region.
‘I personally like this film because it is entirely different from the films which are currently being made in Pakistan. People should like it. And this film will be showcasing new Pakistani talent as well. It’s a reality based film, once Pakistan used to produce. It’s not like current tending comedy and commercial films and contains no VFX. A film shot all naturally, Kalasha is something that will stun the audience,” shared Aijaz.
Talking about his character, Aslam added, “I am playing a character of a tourist guide, who has a sick wife and two children. He cannot afford the medication expenses and requires one lac rupees. The story builds up from there”.
“Kalasha highlights the culture, lifestyle and the struggles of the people living in the area of Kalash, the mountain region which has severe winter. The men of the area usually work in summers taking the animals to the mountains while the females stay at home busy taking care of work like handicrafts. They also take care of dry fruits and olives etc. The tourism in the area has also marginally declined. There are no proper roads in the area, it’s only a path made by cutting the mountains, and require extra ordinary skills to drive a vehicle up into the mountains”, shared Aijaz Aslam
According to Aijaz Aslam, “This film is brilliantly shoot at the locations of Chitral and Kalash, you will find it an international level film just like the ones which are screened at film festivals. Kalasha is also brilliantly written and directed by Farukh Turk, who is just 21-years old talented and energetic young man. Asif Raza Mir and Ahad Raza Mir are the producers of the film who are looking after the post production and marketing of this film.”
Aijaz Aslam shares how they are hoping for a nation wide as well as a festival release for Kalasha, most probably by March 2019.
