Kit Harington snaps at Game of Thrones’ final season criticism

All’s well which ends well, that goes for the makers and cast of the HBO’s epic fantasy series Game of Thrones which came to an end after running for 8 seasons.

Game of Thrones became one of the world’s most-watched TV series, and also one of the highest rated shows. But the final season generated mixed reviews and for many, it failed to lure!

The season saw some average to bad reviewed episodes with the final episode being the worst rated of the show’s history, as for many of the fans the outcome of finale was pretty hard to accept.

Reportedly, on Rotten Tomatoes the final episode recieved 48 percent rating and the penultimate episode has 47 percent positive reviews. Similarly, the final episode has a sort of poor 4.4 ratings on IMDb.

The main lead of the series Kit Harington aka Jon Snow is not pleased with the criticism which season 8 has received.

In a recent interview with Esquire, Kit has revealed that he is feeling “quite defiant” over the backlash from critics as well as fans. Acknowledging the fandom around the series he stated, “no one’s bigger fans of the show than we are.”

He said, “How I feel about the show right now is quite defiant. I think no matter what anyone thinks about this season—and I don’t mean to sound mean about critics here— but whatever critic spends half an hour writing about this season and makes their (negative) judgment on it, in my head they can go f–k themselves. ‘Cause I know how much work was put into this”.

Adding further he said, “I know how much people cared about this. I know how much pressure people put on themselves and I know how many sleepless nights working or otherwise people had on this show. Because they cared about it so much. Because they cared about the characters. Because they cared about the story. Now if people feel let down by it, I don’t give a f–k—because everyone tried their hardest. That’s how I feel. And I was just happy we got to the end”.
