The recent Ayeza Khan starrer Laapata’s first episode came on netizens’ radar!

As soon as the first episode of Ayeza Khan’s new drama ‘Laapata’ aired, it was criticized for being careless on a sensitive subject like harassment.

A clip from the first episode has gone viral on social media, showing Geeti (Ayeza Khan) taking a bargain from a local shopkeeper and threatening to eat up the social media power as a ticker to demand payment of past arrears. Terrified, the shopkeeper gives up the demand for money!

A large number of social media users have strongly criticized the portrayal of the most important issue like harassment in this way, saying that even the true events are not considered important in society, so showing it will lead to further confusion.

Dear drama fans you need to watch the coming episodes to understand why that character was shown in such negative light.

Spilling some beans, lead star Ayeza Khan aka Geeti Princess in her Instagram post said, “How is Geeti going to get caught in her own wrongdoings, wait for the next episodes!’
