Lady Gaga widely praised for her debut film ‘A star is Born’

Lady Gaga makes her acting debut with the “Film A Star is Born”. It is directed by Bradley Cooper, who making his directorial debut and also co-staring in the film.
The film is being screened at various international film festivals and gets praises from critics. It will now premiere at the upcoming 31st edition of Tokyo International Film Festival. After getting screened at the Venice Film Festival and the Toronto Film Festival earlier.

 


Lady Gaga is playing role of ‘Ally’, who is an aspiring singer helped into the industry by an older musician. Bradley Cooper plays Jackson Maine, who discovers Ally and falls in love with this struggling artist.

This film is the remake of the 1976 Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson film, which itself is a remake of two earlier versions, from 1954 and 1937.


This film is set to release on 5th October after being initially released in Germany on 4th of October.


It was earlier in June, when Lady Gaga took to social media, saying that ‘A star is Born’ is a dream come true.
As she wrote while praising Bradley Cooper, “It’s a dream come true and an honor to be a part of this incredible movie. Bradley’s ability as a director, actor and musician is astounding. It’s called “A Star Is Born,” and I’m beyond thrilled for you to meet Jack and Ally. #AStarIsBorn”
