Lahore Qalandar’s latest anthem: Pandemic affects franchise’s budget for the video shoot

Lahore Qalandar’s latest anthem for PSL6 is out but it seems like the Pandemic has affected the franchise’s budget for the video shoot.

Keeping up the tradition Lahore Qalandars released its official anthem for the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League.

Titled Bol Qalandar, the Lahore Qalandar’s latest anthem is sung by popular singer turned politician Abrar ul Haq. By the way, his Punjabi songs are far better than this one.

However, the whole anthem seems to be a job done in haste. And we can’t grasp the references of lungs and internal organs in the song.

The 2:36 duration video features LQ’s top players and clips of its previous matches which gives a feel that it was shot inside the corona bubble due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Excluding the opening, it feels awkward to see the whole of the video shoot is cut on chroma. A little bit increase in the video’s budget for better visuals could have made the difference.

But full marks to the LQ’s players who have given top-notch performances as the star of the anthem.

However, if the makers try to relate the video vibes with the lively culture of Lahore, we rest our case here.
