‘Loki’ To Return for Season 2 at Disney Plus

Marvel hit series Loki will be returning for a second season at Disney Plus.

Marvel revealed the big news for the fans via an insert in a post-credits scene in the final episode of season 1.

Spoiler alert! The season 1 finale of “Loki” leads into Sam Raimi’s film “Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” which is scheduled for March 2022 release.

Loki premiered on June 9, 2021, and the first season concluded on July 14, consisting of six episodes.

American television series created by Michael Waldron for the streaming service is based on Marvel Comics featuring a character of the same name.

Set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), it shares continuity with the films of the franchise and takes place after the events of the film Avengers: Endgame (2019), in which an alternate version of Loki created a new timeline.

It is the third series from the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Disney Plus.

Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as Loki from the film series, with a star cast including Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Tara Strong, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Sasha Lane, Jack Veal, DeObia Oparei, Richard E. Grant, and Jonathan Majors.

“WandaVision,” was the first acclaimed series starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, which has also earned 23 Emmy nominations on Tuesday.

While the second was “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan,  it has received five Emmy nominations. The series acts as a bridge to the next “Captain America” film.
