‘Love Guru’ Beats ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ at Box Office with Explosive Eid Release

"Love Guru" collected Rs. 12.8 crore during its opening weekend

Romantic comedy film Love Guru, released worldwide, including in Pakistan over Eid-ul-Azha, has outperformed The Legend of Maula Jatt at the weekend box office earnings.

The film has already surpassed the opening weekend earnings of The Legend of Maula Jatt, which had collected Rs. 110 million in its initial days. In comparison, Love Guru raked in Rs. 120 million over its debut weekend.

According to the makers, Love Guru is receiving an overwhelming response from the public, earning a total of Rs. 280 million, with Rs. 130 million from Pakistan and Rs. 150 million from international markets.

Directed by renowned filmmaker Nadeem Baig and written by Vasay Chaudhry, the film features Humayun Saeed and Mahira Khan in lead roles.

Audiences have warmly embraced Love Guru, especially praising the on-screen chemistry between Humayun Saeed and Mahira Khan.

Shot in London, the film portrays Mahira Khan as a bold, arts-loving young woman, while Humayun Saeed plays a charming flirt who entangles various women in his web of love.

“Love Guru” is a charming romantic drama, released under the banner of ARY Films. Love Guru blends romance with vibrant Pashto and Punjabi-infused comedy, which is resonating well with viewers.
