“It’s not a cinema, it’s something else. We shouldn’t be invaded by it. We need cinemas to step up and show films that are narrative films,” said Scorsese as he spoke in a press conference alongside Robert De Niro and Al Pacino at London Film Festival.

“Theatres have become amusement parks. That is all fine and good but don’t invade everything else in that sense,” he added.

The director further remarked that while it’s fine and good for those who like these movies, he’s simply not a fan.

“That is fine and good for those who enjoy that type of film and, by the way, knowing what goes into them now, I admire what they do. It’s not my kind of thing, it simply is not. It’s creating another kind of audience that thinks cinema is that,” said Martin Scorsese reiterating his previous statement.

Earlier James Gunn, Kevin Feige, Robert Downey Jr., and Samuel L Jackson had responded to Scorsese’s comments. Let’s see which of the Avengers now jump in to react to the director’s trail of criticism.
