Matthew Lillard reacts to not being cast as Shaggy in upcoming Scooby Doo film
Another Scooby Doo movie has been in the works since a long time at Warner Bros. However, it was only recently that the names of the voice over cast was finally announced. Gina Rodriguez as Velma, Will Forte as Shaggy, and Tracy Morgan as Captain Caveman. Frank Welker would be returning as Scooby-Doo as well.
And while people were surprised that they didn’t know who got to play Fred, they were more than surprised and somewhat outraged that Matthew Lillard wasn’t playing Shaggy in the new film.
Lillard has been associated with the Scooby Doo franchise for both of its earlier live action versions and being replaced so easily was definitely a shock for the actor who expressed his disappointment on Twitter.
Well this sucks.

Fans also came out supporting Lillard for not being cast as a voice over actor in the film.
That really sucks, man.
