Saqib Malik’s film Baaji, that marks Meera’s return to films in Pakistan and stars Amna Ilyas, Osman Khalid Butt alongside Mohsin Abbas Haider and Ali Kazmi in pivotal roles has opened to some amazing responses from both critics and audience alike. The audience is appreciating the film for its unique genre and amazing performances by the cast, while the critics not only laud performances but all technical aspects of filmmaking,right from the script to direction, cinematography and music.
With so many praises pouring in, it doesn’t come as a surprise that Baaji has had a good opening in Pakistan. Baaji has fetched over PKR 90 lacs on its first day screening making it the 4th biggest opening for 2019 following Wrong No 2, Chhalawa and SherDil.
Although Baaji is facing some competition from Annabelle Comes Home in cinemas, it is doing great in multiplexes and single screens all over the country. The film is sure to pick up some more numbers in the coming days, impressing the audience with its unique story and Meera’s comeback in the films as a highlight.
