Sheheryar Munawar Siddiqui and Maya Ali starrer Paray Hut Love that has been making rounds in news for its star cast and intriguing looks, has gotten another feather in its cap and that is it’s beyond par music album.
Comprising of six songs, PHL’s album is a entertaining mix of shadi dance number to slow romantic to breathtakingly beautiful qawali that is all compressed together to form one of the potentially biggest music albums of the year. It’s a plate by Azaan Sami Khan that offers treat to everyone and that’s the beauty of it, it has the capability to hit anyone’s and everyone’s chords.
Starting from Ek Pal, a fun upbeat Punjabi dance number that we will surely be hearing in the upcoming wedding season, PHL’s album starts off pretty high. It’s the kind of song that is sure to make you move your foot, all the while you don’t lose your focus from the lyrics.
The next two songs on the list are haye dil and Behka Na which are both slow romantic numbers. While Haye Dil did not impress us much, we found solace as Behka Na compensates for a romantic slow song that you crave in a love story. An edge to Behka Na is Indian singer Harshdeep Kaur’s voice that beautifully blends in with the feel of the song.
Next up is Balma Bhagora, a wonderful combination of contemporary rap with upbeat desi tone. Sung by Aima Baig and featuring Sheheryar Munawar Siddiqui and Ahmed Ali Butt, the song might not be an instant favorite. But a few listens to the song and you get the hang of it as it goes on.
Falling in the line is Morey Saiyaan, and we have only word for it: UNBELIEVABLE. Sung in soulful voice of Zeb Bangash, the song is a beautiful, beyond beautiful take on classical and folk music. A composition of tabla, sitar and Zeb’s rich voice, Morey Saiyaan is undoubtedly a hit of this season. We are absolutely sold!
The last and strongest number on the list is Zehal e Miskeen. This song has surely proven mettle of young Azan Sami Khan who has collaborated with music maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for this qawali number. While we were far too impressed with Morey Saiyaan, Zehal e Miskeen does manage to supersede all expectations one could have from a successor. Right from its humble beginning to its highs, thanks to Rahat’s strong pitch, and then ending on a iconic rhythm, this song surely gives a satisfactory end to Paray Hut Love’s music compilation.
Thanks to Azaan’s fresh take on music complemented with his genes, one is surely left in awe at the end of the music album. While we have stated our top favorites, we are quite sure that listeners with a different choice of music would have their own song to settle on.
