Netflix Announces New Pride and Prejudice Adaptation Starring Emma Corrin, Jack Lowden & Olivia Colman
Filming is set to begin in the UK later this year.

Netflix is set to bring a fresh adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice to life in a six-part limited series.
The cast features Emma Corrin (The Crown) as the iconic Elizabeth Bennet, Jack Lowden (Slow Horses) as the brooding Mr. Darcy, and Academy Award-winner Olivia Colman (The Favourite) as the scheming Mrs. Bennet.
The series is penned by Dolly Alderton, known for Everything I Know About Love, and directed by Euros Lyn (Heartstopper), who also serves as executive producer.
According to the sources, filming is scheduled to begin in the UK later this year, with Corrin making their debut as executive producer alongside Laura Lankester, Will Johnston, and Louise Mutter of Lookout Point.
Netflix promises a “classic and faithful” rendition of Austen’s 200-year-old tale, aiming to unite longtime fans with the timeless novel while introducing it to a new generation.
This adaptation joins a celebrated lineage of Pride and Prejudice screen versions, including the 1995 BBC miniseries starring Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle, and the 2005 film with Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen.
