Pakistani Cinema Gears Up for Eid Al-Fitr with New and Classic Film Releases

This Eid Al-Fitr, Pakistani filmmakers are set to release a mix of new productions and beloved classics to entertain audiences.
A record-breaking 16 films are set to hit Pakistani cinemas this Eid.
The lineup includes six Pakistani films, two Hollywood releases, three Indian Punjabi movies, and four international horror films.
It almost feels like a challenge to match Kung Fu Panda’s Po in his quest to stuff as many dumplings in his mouth as possible!
Among the new films are Qulfee, Lambi Judai, Kabir, The Martial Artist, Half Fry and Ishq e Lahore.
Qulfee
The film starring Babar Ali, Shahroz Sabzwari, Javed Sheikh, Moammar Rana, and Saeeda Imtiaz, is being hailed as the biggest film release of this Eid al-Fitr. The movie, a romantic comedy with a mix of action and drama, is set to hit cinemas nationwide, promising to be a major attraction during the festive season
Kabeer
Produced by Maysam Ali and directed by Neha Laj, this film features Adnan Shah Tipu, Anam Tanveer, Sakhawat Naz, Maysam Ali, and Jahangir Khan Jani in action.
Ishq-e-Lahore
Punjabi action film starring Javed Sheikh and Saima Noor is set to release this Eid al-Fitr. The movie features a star-studded cast and promises to deliver thrilling action sequences, making it a highly anticipated release for the festive season.
Lambi Judai
The film featuring Babar Ali, Hareem Fatima, Tayyab Khan, and Fiza Mirza, along with a star-studded cast, is set to release across the country this Eid al-Fitr. The film promises to be a major attraction during the festive season.
The Martial Artist
Directed by Pakistani-American filmmaker Shaz Khan, The Martial Artist is produced in English, explores themes rooted in Pakistani society. It follows the journey of Ibby “The Prince” Bakran, an MMA fighter grappling with fame, family conflicts, and self-discovery.
The cast includes Shaz Khan himself, alongside Sanam Saeed, Babar Peerzada, and Faran Tahir. The movie combines dramatic storytelling with action-packed sequences and has been co-produced by Odysseus Entertainment, KHK Media Group, and BRAVE Films.
Half Fry
Directed by Abu Aleeha, Half Fey is an action-comedy film set to release this Eid al-Fitr. Starring Mohsin Abbas Haider, Nausheen Shah, and Adnan Shah Tipu, the movie is a re-edit of Aleeha’s earlier project, Once Upon a Time in Karachi, which was never released.
The film promises a mix of humor and action, making it a notable addition to the Eid lineup.
Adding to the mix are A Minecraft Movie and Disney’s troubled Snow White, along with Indian Punjabi titles such as Diljit Dosanjh’s Sardaarji 2, Tenu Ghodi Kinney Chadaya, and Mithde.
Additionally, classic hits such as Jawani Phir Nahi Aani, Punjab Nahi Jaungi, and Touch Button will return to cinemas, alongside Indian Punjabi films like Carry On Jatta 3.
Horror fans can look forward to Bill Skarsgård-starrer Locked, Indonesia’s Anak Kunti and Almarhum, and Germany’s The Bitter Taste.
