Pakistani Film Actor in Law to be screened in India

Actor in Law, directed by Nabeel Qureshi and produced by Fizza Ali is one of the last movies Bollywood actor Om Puri shot before his unexpected demise. Starring Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat in the lead, the film is a comic courtroom drama that addresses social issues and was released in Pakistan in 2016.

Despite being a hit, Actor in Law was not released in India. The film will now be screened privately for a group of students at the Harkisan Mehta Institute in Mumbai on August 10 to pay tribute to the late Om Puri.

The screening will be led by the college’s orientation day, followed by the inauguration of the Om Puri Foundation.

Actor in Law was also played at a film festival in Rajasthan earlier this year.
