Award Winning South Korean Film Parasite to be Adapted in Limited Series at HBO

South Korean film Parasite that recently won the Golden Globes for best foreign-language feature, will now be adapted into a limited English language series, reported Variety.

The film currently in works at HBO will be helmed by Vice’s director Adam McKay and co-executively produced by Parasite’s director Bong Joon Ho.

Starring Song Kang Ho, Lee Sun Kyun, Cho Yeo Jeong, Choi Woo Shik, Park So Dam, Lee Jung Eun, and Chang Hyae Jin; Parasite is a story of two families that revolves around class discrimination, greed, and power hunger. The film after winning Golden Globe is also a frontrunner for this year’s Oscars.

It is however not clear whether the upcoming limited series will be a direct remake of Parasite in the English language, or take a different approach to the original script.
