Planet of the Apes New Movie Soon to Hit Theaters

Planet of the Apes that last saw a release in 2011 as Rise of the Planet of Apes, is soon to hit theaters with its latest installment.

The movie, which hasn’t much revealed on its plot is said to revolve around its 2011 and 2001 storyline.

As per Hollywood Reporter, Fox Studios has approached maker of Maze Runner series, Wes Ball to helm the upcoming project.

Based on French writer Pierre Boulle’s novel, the original Planet of the Apes released in 1968 and was a massive hit, along with a seventy’s series as well as action figures before there were toys of Star Wars.

In 2011, Tim Burton had rebooted the film with only one picture starring Mark Wahlberg. It earned 362.1 million dollars worldwide.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes offered a more modern spin towards the tale featurinng Andy Serkis in the role of Caesar the ape, who evolves from lab study to be the king of the monkeys.

The trio of these three films including the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and the War grossed 1.68 billion dollars internationally.
