“Rihanna For Zalmi Anthem?”, Javed Afridi stirs the internet
Wednesday already saw Rihanna trending on various social media timelines for her voicing her support for the Indian Farmers Protest.
And by end of the day PSL franchise, Peshawar Zalmi franchise owner Javed Afridi added more fire to the flame.
Afridi stirred the internet with his tweet asking fans, “Rihanna for Zalmi Anthem”, with a red question mark.

Though Peshawar Zami does have a tradition of bringing rocking anthems for the franchise ahead of Pakistan Super League season.
Zalmi’s PSL 2020 anthem had been a cracker sung by Fortitude- Pukhtoon Core, a three-member rap band.
The video of the 2020 Zalmi anthem also features its key players including Darren Sammy, Kamran Akmal, Shoaib Malik, and Imam-ul-Haq, and also the brand’s ambassador actors Hania Amir and Mehwish Hayyat.
And just imagine Rihanna, the American pop singer jamming to a Pausho tune.
Seems like that’s what the Zalmi fans have been conceptualizing after reading Javed Afridi’s tweet:
