Spend your time with Harry Potter while you quarantine at home

Hey, Potterheads? Spending your time quarantining at home while coronavirus takes over the world?

Stop panicking for a minute and take out some time to indulge yourself in the magical world of Harry Potter one more time. This is just so you can forget the anxiety the coronavirus has been causing all of us.

J.K. Rowling, the author for Harry Potter series, has launched an online initiative, to keep parents, children, teachers, and caregivers busy while they maintain social distancing at home and look for ways to keep the children engaged.

www.harrypotterathome.com is a platform featuring quizzes, games and other activities all related to the magical world of Harry Potter.

J.K Rowling made the announcement on Twitter.

Parents, teachers and carers working to keep children amused and interested while we’re on lockdown might need a bit of magic, so I’m delighted to launch harrypotterathome.com,” wrote the author on her Twitter handle.

Rowling also has partnered with the audio publisher-distributor Audible and the library e-book supplier OverDrive for free audio and digital editions of the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

Publishers, Bloomsbury and Scholastic, will also be contributing content to the Potter web site and to their own web sites to keep Potterheads engaged during the lockdown.

“The teachers, parents and carers working to keep children’s lives as normal and happy as possible while we’re all on lockdown deserve a bit of magic,” said Rowling while giving out a statement.

“I hope these initiatives will give children and even adults a happy distraction during their enforced stay-at-home time.”
