Reports are ripe that Squid Game Season 2 and 3 are being shot simultaneously.
Squid Game 2 is currently scheduled to begin filming in July.
While the producers of the hit Netflix original South Korean series have responded to the reports of Season 2 and Season 3 of “Squid Game” being filmed at the same time.
According to star Lee Jung-Jae, production on Squid Game season 2 starts in the summer of 2023 and will last about 10 months.
Reportedly, like Stranger Things season 5, Squid Game season 2 is not coming to Netflix in 2023.
Earlier this week Korean news outlet OSEN reported that Netflix was moving forward with a third season of the Suquid Game—and that Seasons 2 and 3 would be filmed at the same time, with the two seasons consisting of 13 episodes in total.
In the latest development, responding to the report, Netflix commented, “In order to create a show that will bring the fans joy, the ‘Squid Game’ production team is giving their all to prepare for Season 2.”
As for whether Season 3 would be filmed together with Season 2, Netflix stated, “Because we are still in the early stages [of planning], the concrete details have not yet been decided.”
