The Conjuring 3 gets a release date

The Conjuring 3 is all set to hits theaters on September 11, 2020. But before that The Warrens will be seen in Annabelle Comes Home, landing in theaters on June 28th.

It was in 2013 when James Wan delivered audiences The Conjuring, a frightening tale of a family who seeks out the help of paranormal investigators when they find out that an evil spirit lives in their newly bought home.

Michael Chaves, who helmed the upcoming horror film ‘The Curse of La Llorona’, is directing the third installment of the franchise.

The script for the film has been penned once again by David Leslie Johnson, who wrote The Conjuring 2.

Reportedly the storyline of Conjuring 3 will once again center around paranormal investigations husband and wife duo, Ed and Lorraine Warren.

Story details for the upcoming film are kept under the wraps but an inside source reportedly claims that Conjuring 3 will focus on a man in the middle of a murder trial who pleas that he was possessed by a demon.

While the previous two films were based on real-life events, however, it is currently unknown if this third film will be pulled from the case files of the Warrens or will simply be pure fiction.

Various spinoff films have focused on cases tangentially connected to the duo, however, it’s been speculated that Conjuring 3 will be different than anything fans have seen before.

The first film of the franchise, The Conjuring, released in 2013, terrified the world. The film made with a relatively small budget of $20 million, made $320 million internationally.

The Conjuring 2, released in 2016 also became a huge success like its predecessor, grossing $102.5 million in the US and Canada and $217.9 million in other territories for a worldwide total gross of $320.4 million.
