The Crown’Season 5 launch has drawn 1.1 Million viewers in only the U.K.
The ten episodes of the royal drama’s new season of the hit Netflix series were released on the OTT platform yesterday.
The Crown’s first episode of the fifth series was watched by only a 1.1million viewers in the UK, the first official ratings say.

As reported, the 1.1million views for the first episode of the drama, which also stars Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana and Dominic West as Prince Charles, is much higher than the figures for the best-rated show on the first day Netflix’s audience figures were made public.
Netflix’s series The Watcher attracted 120,918 ‘views’ on that occasion.
Meanwhile, According to Overnights.tv, season five of “The Crown” drew 1.1 million viewers on launch day.
That number includes anyone who watched at least one episode of the final season on a UK TV on November 9, when it launched on Netflix at around 8 am local time.
As per the data, this 1.1 million figure does not include viewers who watched via a laptop, tablet, or mobile phone.

The numbers recorded around 100 UK viewers who were watching Episode 10 on Wednesday, this number is supposed to consist of those who watched the entire season on the first day of launch.
By way of comparison, the mass reality TV show “I’m a Celebrity on ITV…Get Me Out of Here” audience got 7.9 million viewers via TV.
“I’m a Celebrity” was released on Sunday in the UK and will air every night (except Saturdays) for the next three weeks.
As the new season of “The Crown” was launched in the mid-week, it may well see an increment of viewers over the weekend.
The Crown Season 5, which follows the life and reign of Queen Elizabeth II, was released on the streaming site on 9 November 2022.
This is the first season of the series to be released after both the death of Prince Philip on 9 April 2021 and the death of Queen Elizabeth II on 8 September 2022.
The series returns to show cracks and conflict in Charles and Diana’s marriage and sets the stage for their 1991 separation and divorce five years later.
