‘The Crown’ Season 5 to Start Shooting in July!
Production of hotly anticipated The Crown season 5 of the hit Netflix series is set to kick off in July.
As being reported the new season will be featuring a whole new cast of actors playing the iconic royals.
The new season will see “Tenet” star Elizabeth Debicki playing Princess Diana; Dominic West portraying Prince Charles; Imelda Staunton starring as the Queen, while Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret.
Meanwhile. Debicki, Staunton, and others will comprise the final cast for the show, which is set to end with season 6.
The final season of the series will take the audience into the early 2000s, which means that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will never appear in the show.
According to the media reports, the crew of the series is now starting to gather into Elstree Studios, just north of London, where most of the Left Bank-produced show is filmed.
Owing to the pandemic, the cameras will start rolling under strict COVID-19 protocols.
Hopefully, the condition in the UK will be better as the country is to begin to ease restrictions from April 12 following a third national lockdown that was put in place in January.
Netflix’s award-winning series had wrapped up shoot for season 4 just ahead of the U.K.’s first lockdown in March 2020.
The latest season saw the long-awaited arrival of Princess Diana portrayed by Emma Corrin), which has revitalized the Peter Morgan-created series.
The depiction drew huge audiences and winning acclaims, including Golden Globes and SAG Awards this season.
