The Donkey King sets a new record in the 5th Week!

This year has been a successful year for Pakistani cinema, with two successful animated movies; ‘Allahyar and the Legend of Markhor’ and ‘The Donkey King’. Both of them have done exceptionally well on the Box Office which is an indication of the fact that not only our film industry is opening itself to new and creative options but also our audiences’ preferences are diversifying too, at the same time.

Written, directed and co-produced by Aziz Jindani, ‘The Donkey King’ has roped in massive appreciation from people of all ages and has successfully bagged three crores following the first week upon its release, setting the bar high for future animated movies.

Its now week 5 and the film shows no signs of slowing down! According to Box Office Details, The Donkey King remains unaffected by the release of Thugs of Hindustan as the film has done great business over the weekend which has created a new history. Even after 5 weeks, The Donkey King remains on the top alogside new movies, doing more business that all the Pakistani Blockbusters.
Having surpassed films like Punjab Nahi Jaongi, Jaawani Phir Nahi Aani 2, Parwaaz Hai Junoon and Sanju, the film has made a whopping Rs 18 crore approximately and aims to reach the Rs 20 crore mark by next week!

Within the first week, Donkey King roped in 4 crores, followed by 5.1 crores in the 2nd Week and the numbers keep on increasing!!

The Donkey King has to be the first ever Pakistani animated movie to break all the Box Office Records and showing no signs of slowing down!
