The Queen’s Gambit Becomes Netflix’s Most Watched Series

‘The Queen’s Gambit’, a period chess drama has become Netflix’s most-watched scripted limited series

According to Netflix, 2 million member accounts tuned in to the show in the first 28 days.

The streamer claims that the seven-episode show ranked in its top 10 in 92 countries and No 1 in 63 countries, including the UK, Argentina, Israel, and South Africa.

The limited series debuted on the online streaming platform on October 23.

Netflix’s mini-series The Queen’s Gambit based on the acclaimed novel by Walter Tevis, of the same name stars Anya Taylor-Joy as Beth Harmon helmed by Scott Frank.

The seven episodes follow the story of an orphan girl who aspires to become the grandmaster of the chess game.  And the turn of events makes you believe that it is based upon a true story however that’s not the case.
