Trailer Review: Load Wedding might be a winner this Eid!

Jawani Phir Nahin Aani 2, Parwaaz Hai Junoon and Load Wedding will all be releasing this Eid ul Azha and competing against each other at the boxoffice! By the looks of the trailers released, Load Wedding should not be taken lightly at all! In fact, it might even prove to be a winner putting a lot of ‘load’ on the other two films.

The teaser was released last month and received mostly positive reviews. The trailer is no different and only proves that Nabeel Qureshi and Fiza Ali Meerza’s upcoming film, Load Wedding, starring Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat is a potential blockbuster!

The film aims to tackle a social issue yet sticks to entertaining the audience with all the right ingredients. It’s close to reality still fun, colorful, thought-provoking and very very Pakistani!

From shaadi pressure and log kiya kahengay to a lot that happens in desi communities, the film is one that many will relate to. Load Wedding narrates the tale of a young man (Fahad Mustafa) living in Punjab and madly in love with a girl (Mehwish Hayat) since childhood.

But like all desi families, he has a mom who is hard to please when it comes to a love marriage. There’s emotional blackmailing and conditions being set . His mother will not allow him to get married until he gets his older sister married…

While according to his sister, “Decent girls get married late”, unlike his love interest.

All this emotional drama and social stigmas lead to a series of twists and turns. We saw Mehwish plant a slap on Fahad’s face in the teaser and the same was shown in the trailer, explaining the background.  What started as a slap grows into a romantic relationship with mutual agreement. However that is only short lived and the real struggle begins.

The girl is sent back, there’s dowry involved and a lot of drama that desi familes deal with! Mehwish and Fahad’s chemistry is commendable, the songs showcase the true colors and energy of Punjab and we’re really looking forward to watching this film on the big screen.
