Wajahat Rauf ventures into digital space; casts Mehwish Hayat in web series

Web series are the current most happening thing in the field of entertainment. Good news is that Pakistan will soon have its original web series. Famous director-producer Wajahat Rauf has shared the news with OyeYeah, who is currently busy with his upcoming web series which will most probably make its premier sometime in January next year.

While talking to OyeYeah, Wahajat has confirmed that he is not just directing this upcoming web series, but has also written the script.

“I cannot share the story of the series. What I can tell that it is going to be story about young college life, based on music”, shares the Wajahat Rauf exclusively.

Sarwat Aijaz, Azfar Rehman, Mehwish hayat, Rubab Hashim, Faryal Mehmood, Asad Siddiqui, Gul-e-Rana, and few others are included in the cast of this web series.

The director himself hits at the series being based on music, as he captioned his Instagram post “Recording a song for our upcoming web series with Mehwish Hayat Yep, she’ll be singing too!

The platform will be revealed in a while from which this web series go air. The official press release describing few details will release in a day or two. As there is a confidentiality agreement certain things cannot be revealed.

As being reported the web series is being under the banner of Gateway Entertainment and it will reach international audience. This series is going to be Pakistan’s first original web series according to a source. Let’s wait a bit more till we bring further details to you.
