Will Smith and Martin Lawrence say Bad Boys 3 is ‘official’

The news was shared via an Instagram post by, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, confirming that Sony’s ‘Bad Boys for Life’, is finally going forward. Both the stars will be reprising their respective roles as Detectives Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett.

Will Smith have made the announcement on his Instagram by posting a video. He captioned the post, “It’s been a LOOOONG time Coming. But now it’s Here! @BadBoys for Life We back!!”

Martin Lawrence captioned his post, “Can’t wait to hit the ground runnin! Blessed to be a part of such a great film with my brotha @willsmith 🙏🏾 We still gotta learn the words to the song though!”

Also joking about the old times Bad Boys film, Will Smith posted on his Instagram saying, “I promise you Martin Lawrence won’t have a beeper in the new Bad Boys.

The original 1995 Bad Boys film, landed Will Smith’s one of the first major film roles and despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, film was a major commercial success. Film catapulted Will Smith into global superstardom as the film grossed $141million worldwide.

The duo returned with Bad Boys II in 2003, this part despite receiving generally negative reviews, turned out to be another success at the box office. Second installment grossed over $273million.

The third installment in the franchise, “Bad Boys For Life” is reported of being directed by Belgian filmmaker team Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. The production will be with starting in mid-January.

This third film of the Will Smith and Martin Lawrence duo, ‘Bad Boys For Life’, is scheduled to release on 17th January 2020.
