YouTuber Hassan Iqbal Chishti Arrested in Faisalabad

All the content has been removed from his YouTube channel.

YouTuber Hassan Iqbal Chishti is reported to have been arrested for his hate-mongering content.

Chishti was arrested by the Punjab Police on Tuesday in Faisalabad due to widespread criticism over his controversial songs opposing girls’ education.

Meanwhile, all the hateful content from his YouTube channel has been removed.

The action was taken after authorities received multiple complaints against Hassan Iqbal Chishti for spreading hate and misinformation regarding women’s education.

Meanwhile, a local cleric identified as Fazal Ahmed Chishti, joined by a mob, led a protest outside the police station against Hassan Ali’s arrest and allegedly threatened to file blasphemy charges against the SP Police.

His songs, which have circulated widely on social media, contain offensive and misogynistic content that sparked public outrage.

One of his notable songs urged people to remove their daughters from school, claiming that girls lose their sanctity and respect by attending school and participating in activities like dancing, which he deemed unacceptable by Islamic standards.

This song went viral and was heavily condemned by social media users for its extremist and misogynistic stance against women’s education.

As reported, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Circle last year launched an investigation against YouTuber Hasan Iqbal on a complaint launched by the Punjab Commission on the Status of Women’s ‘anti-education’ video.

Punjab Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW) also took notice of a viral video by YouTuber Hasan Iqbal Chishti, titled “Othy Dance Kardi Payi Ae,” for its disparaging remarks against girls’ education.
