The singer confirmed the news of breakup in a tweet, saying they’d both had an “incredibly meaningful, loving and fun relationship”.

And after few minutes Gigi also tweeted her own breakup statement, “I want nothing but the best for him and will continue to support him as a friend”.

This news is going to be as the biggest break up in social media history; mostly teenagers follow both of them on various social media forums. As a couple Zayan and Gigi have 66 million followers on the Instagram and 35 million Twitter followers. What an irony that few months ago Zayan Malik made a tattoo of his now ex-girlfriend’s eyes on his chest.

This is not the first breakup for either of them, Hadid split from singer Joe Jonas in 2015, and the same year, Zaya Malik split from Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards. The duo got together and split in under two years, and by the way Zayan Malik no longer follows Gigi Hadid on Instagram.
