Karachi Eat Festival 2019 to kick off on Friday

The time to delight the mouth with savory food is back. The most awaited food festival, Karachi Eat 2019 is here. Now it’s for the 6^th time, the massive event will kick off on Friday 11^th January and end on Sunday, January 13^th 2019 in the city of lights, Karachi.

The Food Festival will host more than 300,000 people with 90 stalls this time; the organisers have already made full preparation for the three-day event that will offer delicious food you would not find on the usual menus in restaurants. The vendors from all over Karachi, as well as Islamabad and Lahore, coming in.

The venue of Karachi Eat has been changed once again from Benazir Bhutto Park to Beach View Park. The timings for Friday are starting from 4pm to 10:30pm and 12:30pm to 10:30pm for Saturday and Sunday. Ticket prices are offered at Rs300 out of which, Rs100 will be redeemable inside, as per last year.

The festival will also bring Pakistani artist to add some fun into the air as people will groove to the tunes of Fuzon and the live performances of Darvesh. There will other young talent from underground bands will perform on one of the three days.

The festival includes some old favourites like Lal’s Patisserie, Saniya’s Kitchen, Truck Adda, Wrappetite, Brew Factory, Kababist and many others. Some of the new additions include Tantuni, Slamvich, Delina Ice cream, Le Saint Honoré, Burger Bros, Sweet Escape, Mad Roosta, Praha, The Chew Bar, SOL and others.

This time Foodies will be able to treat themselves to more than eight different cuisines all under one roof: Thai, Japanese, Sri Lankan, Parsi, Mexican, Swiss, Chinese, South Indian and of course, Pakistani.

Here’s we have a list of some of the most anticipated stalls this year:

1.  Pantry 

A pancake with spiced chicken, Pantry is one of the things we are really looking forward to this time.

2. The Red Volks

The Red Volks would be serving a ‘hotrod and flaming dog’. The flaming dog is a flaming hot cheetos covered sausage on a stick served with a special sauce

3. HotBombz

More like a cheesy fried balls. HotBombz will be serving three different kinds — the classic, BBQ and a combination of the two that we can’t wait to eat!

4. Tantuni

This Turkish Tantuni is one of the things we are really looking forward to this time. The Turkish Kebab, Tantuni will be making its Karachi Eat debut so fingers crossed it tastes as good as it looks!

5. Burger Bros

More cheesy inside, we know a good burger when we see one. And BB’s Flamin Chick Magnet Slider is all we want to eat!

6. Lals

Lals who are known for their gelato will be whipping up the perfect desserts —caramel apple taco sundae, chocolate brownie taco and red velvet taco sundae.

The caramel apple taco sundae will be an original waffle taco filled with vanilla gelato, caramelised apples, house made apple pie crumble and drizzled with a special salted caramel sauce.

Last year, Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari made an appearance and said he was pleased at the event taking place at the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park.
