Shaniera Akram runs for a cause!

Shaniera Akram has become a household name for Pakistanis definitely, being married to legendary Cricketer Waseem Akram. On Sunday she participated along with other celebrities and people from different walks of life in a 10km marathon, arranged by the Special Olympics Pakistan (SOP) with the association of Dolmen Mall and Espresso enterprises, it was organized in support of people with disabilities.

Shaniera Akram came representing The Akram Foundation being CEO at TAF, on her Insta said, ”Couldn’t think of a better way to start my Sunday! Sohail, Irfan, Mohsin and the TAF family on our 5km run to support our special needs community”

Shaniera Akram also quoted, ”If we are going to the finish line then we are going to do it together!” A motto I think that needs to be set for our whole country. There should be no reason to exclude or leave anyone behind. Ever! We are one for now and forever”

It was indeed a very special moment for Karachi, as the participants ran for five and 10 kilometers, while heavy bikers were also present to show support.

Actor Sarwat Gilani, who was present at the event with her family, said ”Right here we run for a cause, we run for inclusion…everybody is here, It’s a Sunday morning and the only day in Karachi where you wake up for a good cause”, Posting several posts on her Insta account about the event’s happenings.
