So when last week Ayeza Khan, Mehwish of Meray Pas Tum Ho, dolled up in the beautiful Zainab Chottani ensemble only to be slapped by Shehwar’s (Adnan Siddiqui) wife Maham (Sawera Nadeem) the whole internet was abuzz.
From memes on Rs0.6 million dress to women drooling over the beautiful piece, the silver Chottani creation was the talk of the town.
As it turns out, the much-hyped and much-loved ensemble’s fever hasn’t died down as bride-to-be are booking the dress for their summer 2020 weddings.
“Since we are overbooked till April 2020, people are pre-booking the same dress for their weddings in June and July,” said Chottani while talking to Samaa, while adding that the number of queries for the dress is huge.
It all started when Meray Paas Tum Ho’s team visited the designer’s studio and wished to shoot the scene of Mehwish’s dress selection over there.
“They wanted to shoot the pre-wedding sequel in our studio when Mehwish goes for wedding shopping. Later they borrowed the dress for the most iconic slap sequel,” shared the designer.
While the dress is quoted to be Rs0.65 million in the drama, it’s originally priced at Rs.0795 million. The show makers wanted to state the dress for Rs0.3 million but on Chottani’s disagreement, settled on the mentioned price.
