Holy Grail Foundations for Oily Skin

Foundations that will give your oily skin a flawless canvas for makeup

Finding the right foundation has always been a hassle for most people. Sometimes, it takes people years to find their “perfect match”. Not only the shade of the foundation is a problem, but the texture, finish and coverage also give a hard time, most often.

People who have oily skin mainly complain about the melting of foundation, the shine and greasiness that appears after some time of wearing makeup and the longevity of the product on face.

Here are some options of Foundations that work wonders with oily skin.

Fenty Beauty PRO FILT’R Soft Matte Longwear Foundation

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is my top favourite option for foundation. I have a very oily skin and this worked really beautifully. The only thing you need to be careful about is that it dries quickly so you have to blend it into the skin as soon as you take it out. It blends beautifully, doesn’t feel patchy and is very long wearing. Offering a gorgeous matte finish, it comes in 40 shades (which is great!) and offers medium to full coverage.

Huda Beauty #FauxFilter Foundation

This one is an amazing option if you want an extremely matte finish. However, it is not good for textured skin. In fact, it enhances the texture of your skin even more. It does vanish the pores if used with a good primer but definitely doesn’t help with the texture. If you have textured skin, it will make your textured areas look blotchy. Besides that, the finish of this one is flawless and it blends seamlessly into the skin.

Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation

I don’t know why but this one makes me feel a bit boujee. Its fancy packaging might be responsible for that. The best thing about this one is its smoothness and longevity. It gives a flawless matte finish, blends effortlessly on the skin and stays for hours!

Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Mattifying Foundation
Source: Make Up For Ever

This one has been my top favourite for more than a year. There was a time when this was the only foundation I reached for whenever I wore makeup. It is a little pricey but is definitely worth it, gives a flawless velvety matte finish and vanishes the texture of the skin. I remember the first time I applied it on my face and noticed how my smile lines disappeared. It offers medium to full coverage and lasts for a very long time.

Masarrat Makeup Silk Foundation

They definitely need to work on their shade range, however, it is a perfect dupe for Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Mattifying Foundation. Therefore, if you are looking for something that works wonderfully but doesn’t break your bank, this is what you need!
