Inspired by Monica L. Miller’s influential book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, the accompanying exhibition delves into the intersections of race, class, gender, and power through a stunning collection of garments, art, and photography.
Actor Colman Domingo, racing legend Lewis Hamilton, rapper and fashion innovator A$AP Rocky, and music icon Pharrell Williams co-chair the event. NBA superstar LeBron James serves as honorary chair. Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour continues her role as presiding co-chair, ensuring the event’s unmatched prestige and influence in the fashion world.
Guests are invited to embrace the dress code “Tailored for You,” encouraging personalised and bold interpretations of classic menswear that honour the theme’s focus on Black dandyism.
As one of the most anticipated nights in fashion, the Met Gala 2025 gathers around 450 celebrities, designers, and cultural figures for an exclusive evening of glamour and philanthropy.
